Every Philip Karto piece begins with an original vintage luxury bag.
Each item is sourced through established secondary-market specialists in authenticated heritage pieces. Selection is conducted under strict grading standards, with physical inspection and verification prior to entering the atelier.
The object is authenticated. The vision is agreed. The intervention is executed by hand.
Nothing is repeated.
Authentic. Certified. Independently acquired.
Before any intervention, each bag is cleaned, evaluated, and restored when necessary. The integrity of the original craftsmanship is respected at every stage.
What changes is not the origin. It is the authorship.
Interventions are executed entirely in-house in the Miami atelier — through hand painting, reconstruction, couture-level stitching, and, when required, the integration of exotic materials. Each gesture is deliberate and visibly assumed.
By modifying the piece from its archetype state, it no longer represents the original maison. It became a new artistic object, signed under the Philip Karto name.
Heritage is respected. Creative autonomy is absolute.
No official affiliation exists with the original luxury houses. The brand operates independently within the legal secondary luxury market. The purchase, transformation, and sale of authentic vintage goods occur under established international resale principles.
