Two Sides. One Language.
PK. 01 Edition
In PK.01, Philip Karto divides the surface into two dialogues. One side carries words — painted directly onto the canvas, raw and deliberate. The other holds a figure or abstraction, hand-drawn in the same gesture. Neither side explains the other. Together they speak.
Repetition Is the Statement.
PK.02 Edition
In PK.02, Philip Karto works with the monogram canvas itself. The pattern is not a background — it is the subject. On one surface, it repeats as it always has. On the other hand, it shifts: geometric, bold, reimagined. The same logic, a different rhythm.
The Image Provokes. The Words Endure.
PK.03 Edition
In PK.03, Philip Karto brings pop culture onto the canvas — bold, immediate, unapologetic. On one side, figures and colors drawn with the energy of the street. On the other, a message painted by hand. The art catches the eye. The words stay with you.
Two Gestures. One Piece.
PK.04 Edition
In PK.04, Philip Karto works in two languages on the same surface. On one side, embroidery — thread pulled through canvas, texture built stitch by stitch. On the other, paint applied by hand. Two techniques, two sensations. The same intention.
Nothing Is Fixed. Everything Is Placed.
PK.05 Edition
In PK.05, Philip Karto works through addition. Python patches applied to the surface — each one chosen, positioned, permanent. Not decoration. Intervention. The original bag remains. What is placed on it changes what it says.
